  • Get Into The Summer b/w The Sadness In The Air 7" Single
    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

Get Into The Summer b/w exclusive new song The Sadness In The Air available as a super limited edition hand-stamped double A side 7” single with exclusive hand-drawn artwork + signed insert.

Each 7" Single has a completely unique hand drawn sleeve and is the only one in the world. Limited to just 25 copies.

Last Summer The Boy Least Likely To followed their happy-go-lucky break up anthem Things Are Looking Up with the equally joyous Get Into The Summer, a song that practically demanded that we all get out and enjoyed ourselves while the sun was shining. A breezy little beachfiller that brought to mind The Lemonheads, Belle and Sebastian and Badly Drawn Boy, with jangling guitars and pianos joyfully thumping away.

Brimming with summery joy and excitement, the Boy Least Likely To continued to hone their peculiar brand of exuberant pop melancholy.

As singer Jof Owen explains it, “The Sadness In The Air is a song about returning to somewhere from your childhood to find that nothing has really changed but it somehow just doesn’t feel the same. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or if the world is just getting scarier and harder to cope with, but I feel that sadness around me so much at the moment; on the high streets or at the seaside towns I used to go to or wherever it is, there’s just something hanging in the air.”

A year on and the world is just as confused and turbulent as it was twelve months ago; as we look for reassurance and comfort in a world full of daily despair there is something incredibly timely about having new music from The Boy Least Likely To to listen to. After all, no other band manages to sound quite so uplifting and joyous at the same time as giving voice to our everyday fears and anxieties.

Now they add its summertime flipside, the stunning indie pop ballad The Sadness In The Air, and reissue the single as a super limited edition hand-stamped double A side 7” single with exclusive hand-drawn artwork.
